	Bow to Stern Sailing School offers sailing lessons and ASA certification to all levels, from Small Boat Sailing to Offshore Passagemaking, Coastal Navigation and Cruising Catamaran. We are located in Oriental NC, the sailing capital of NC.
	Our school provides: Stress free sailing instruction with an emphasis on safety, fun and learning. Sailing Lessons according to ASA Standards, ages 8 to adult. ASA Certifications to all levels. Private lessons (groups, individuals, couples and families). Vacation programs, sunset charters, and corporate team building events. Family Charters/Lessons and a chance to learn the live-aboard lifestyle.

Our Boats include a 52' Irwin, a 37' Kurt Hughes design Catamaran. They are well maintained and meet all USCG and ASA requirements/recommendations.

52' Irwin
This boat is used primarily for Basic Coastal Cruising, Bareboat Chartering, Advanced Coastal Cruising and Offshore Passagemaking. She is a fully equipped blue water cruiser with multiple GPSs, Chart Plotter, Forward Looking Sonar, Radar, SSB, VHF, Autopilot, Generator, Inverter, Laptop Computer, Full Galley, 3 Full Heads w/Showers, and much more (which you'll also learn about). She is a cutter rigged ketch with a roller furling jib and electric winches. There are generous accommodations for 8 with room for more. She is a fun and challenging boat for both the beginner and experienced sailors.

She is day sailor designed for day charter. Sea Dragon is a USCG Certified vessel equipped with GPS, VHF, Head,twin screws and much more. She is used for the Cruising Catamaran certification and may be used for portions of the Bareboat Chartering certification. With her stable platform, she is popular for charters and group trips.

Our Instructors are certified by the ASA and hold a USCG captains license.

Capt. Jim Edwards...
is the owner/operator of Bow to Stern Yacht Services, Inc. He holds a USCG 100 ton Master's License and is certified by the ASA to teach up to Advanced Coastal Cruising as well as Small Boat Sailing, Coastal Navigation and Cruising Catamaran.

Jim's first career was with the YMCAs where he climbed the ladder from Program Director to CEO. He is a skilled counselor, teacher, coach, and mentor. He is also a gifted sailor, having sailed almost since he could walk, he has years of experience on the water, aboard all kinds of boats, and in all kinds of weather. He is clearly a professional, always a sailor, and now a professional sailor.

Capt. Tim Rogers...
holds a USCG Master's and is certified with the ASA to teach Basic Keel Boat, Basic Coastal Cruising, Bareboat, and Coastal Navigation.
